Coat of Arms

Price Range:

This coat of arms was granted to Jamaica in 1661. The design shows a female and male Arawak standing on either side of a shield bearing a red cross interspersed with five golden pineapples. The crest is the Royal Helmet of the British Monarchy upon which a crocodile sits. The motto accompanying the Coat of Arms is “out of many one people,” which speaks to Jamaica’s multi-racial roots.
