Historic Half Way Tree Court House

Kingston
Kingston Parish
Description:

This historic Court House is in the heart of Kingston, Jamaica. Built in 1807, it was used primarily by the Members of the Vestry to assemble for meetings.

It was used by Imperial Censors in World War II and also was one of the few buildings that miraculously escaped damage in the 1907 earthquake.

Today, the Institute of Jamaica leases the building and uses it as a Junior Centre.
