Patrice, a black actor, into his forties, powdered and dressed as a 19th century courtesan, comes to the audition organized by the powerful casting director Selena Meyer. Assisted by Betty, she is looking for the main female role of the new cinematographic adaptation of “Camille- The Lady of the Camelias”. Among the young and pretty contenders, Patrice will have a hard time “legitimizing” his presence.
