CARIBBEAN SCHOOL OF MEDICAL SCIENCES JAMAICA

As a Chartered Institute of Jamaica effective June 30, 2017 the Caribbean School of Medical Sciences, Jamaica (CSMSJ) is poised to become one of the Caribbean’s premier institutions for medicine and other health professional education and training, committed to developing a quality workforce of professionals ready to confront and conquer the challenges of 21st century medicine.
CSMSJ is headed by Dr Neville Graham, OD, MD, FRCS (Edinburgh), Consultant Surgeon and Dean with Mr Richard Jones as Chairman of the Board of Governors.
The school started in 2014 with its first cohort of Associate Degree in Natural and Applied Sciences. Classes commenced on Aril 15, 2015 and the first cohort of Doctor of Medicine Degree students commenced on August 31, 2015.
We currently offer a four (4) Semester (16 months) Associate Degree in Natural and Applied Sciences Program. This program provides courses in Pre-Medical/Pre-Dentistry Sciences while training students to sit the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT). We also offer a (4) years, twelve (12) semester Doctor of Medicine Degree program. Our medical program aims to prepare medical students to sit the United States Licensing Medical Examinations (USMLE).
The Caribbean School of Medical Sciences, Jamaica (CSMSJ) has received provisional registration from Jamaica Tertiary Education Commission (JTEC).
The Caribbean School of Medical Sciences, Jamaica (CSMSJ) obtained joint international accreditation with the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC from the Accreditation Service for International Colleges and Universities (ASIC) in January 2017.
