Founded in 1906 when Dr. Alexander James McCatty generously donated his Montego Bay beach property to start a private members club, this beach grew popular when Sir Herbert Bake claimed in 1920 that its waters had curative powers. The crystal clear water, almost always between 78 and 84 degrees Fahrenheit, is fed by mineral springs. You can also find water sports, changing areas, showers, and dining.
