East Japanese: The East Japanese Restaurant is one of the most popular restaurants in Kingston. It’s the go-to spot for those that want to try sushi for the first time. Opened in 2004, this restaurant’s well-prepared menu of sushi and sashimi dishes and deliciously cooked meals has made it one of the most trusted Japanese restaurants in Jamaica.

Sora is small, but with a comfortable ambience, and patrons have indoor and outdoor dining options. The full bar on the rooftop terrace is a great spot to drink and see the sunset. On Saturday nights there is live entertainment.

Majestic Japanese Restaurant: This place really lives up to its name. Nestled in the lush flora of Stony Hill, Majestic’s décor is traditional Japanese, offering fine dining and a relaxing atmosphere. Owned by the same proprietor as East Japanese, Majestic had a completely different look and feel and its dishes somehow come off as more exciting.

Zen Japanese Cuisine: This restaurant was formerly named Roe Fine Japanese Restaurant. Zen marries delicious Jamaican food with the freshest sushi to create a menu that is both familiar and exotic. They also offer soups, salads and tofu dishes that are suitable for vegetarians.
